Anna Jane White-Mullin started riding in Atlanta, Georgia, when she was five years old. At age thirteen, she began competing in large horse shows on the East Coast, winning the junior hunter and equitation championships at many noteworthy shows, including Ox Ridge, Fairfield, North Shore, Piping Rock, Harrisburg, Washington, Madison Square Garden, and the Florida Circuit shows. In 1971, she won the Alfred B. Maclay Finals on her horse, Rivet, and was awarded a gold medal for winning twenty USEF Talent Search classes. Her instructors include the equestrian luminaries Gordon Wright, George Morris, Ronnie Mutch, and Bertalan de Nemethy.

After graduating from Randolph-Macon Woman's College, Ms. White-Mullin pursued a career in broadcasting, but kept her equestrian ties through teaching, judging, and writing. In 1984, her first book, Judging Hunters and Hunter Seat Equitation, became a best-selling equestrian work.  Endorsed by the USEF, Judging Hunters is now in its third edition.  Ms. White-Mullin is also the author of Winning: A Training and Showing Guide for Hunter Seat Riders.   She has served as a panelist for the USEF Judges' Clinic program, and her PowerPoint presentation is part of the permanent instructional files for the USEF. Currently, Ms. White-Mullin resides in Gadsden, AL. She gives riding clinics, judges horse shows, and lectures at equestrian educational institutions throughout the United States.

A limited amount of riders will be accepted.  Clinics are scheduled as three lessons per day, each lasting an hour-and-a-half. In addition, there will be a thirty-minute lecture each day for riders and auditors, dealing with topics such as “The Basics of Flatwork and Jumping,” “Advanced Flatwork and Jumping,”  “Judging Equitation on the Flat and Over Fences,” and “Judging Hunters Under Saddle and Over Fences.”

The three groups will be as follows:
Level 1: Riders who are w/t/c, crossrails and some 2' verticals
Level 2: Riders who are confidently jumping 2' courses and some 2'6" fences
Level 3: Riders who are confidently jumping 2'6" courses and schooling 3'- 3' 3" fences
Jumper riders are welcome and will ride with the hunter riders.  There will be lessons on Saturday and Sunday.  Groups will be no larger than 8 riders in each group.
