Below you will find the basic rules and information for all Rivermont Farm horse shows.

Refund Policy:  Once you have checked in and received a back number, there will be NO CASH REFUNDS for any reason.  However, should you scratch any classes due to illness or injury to horse or rider, you will be given a credit for that amount of classes to be used at a future Rivermont show.  No credits for inclement weather unless show management cancels show.  We have tried to be lenient on this policy but there were some people who were taking full advantage of us on this one, so we feel we're being very fair by offering a class credit at a future show.  Thanks for understanding! :)

Attire:  Show jackets are optional all season.  Riders may ride in short or long sleeved collared shirt (polo type) or short sleeved show shirt.  Breeches or jodphurs, boots and an ASTM are required.  Pre-Beginner and leadline riders may ride in any attire, as long as they are wearing heeled boots and an ASTM helmet.  Riders who are showing western at the July show are not required to wear helmets, however we strongly recommend junior riders ALWAYS wear a helmet no matter what discipline you show!

Classes with less than 3 entries:  We reserve the right to combine or cancel classes if there are insufficient entries.

Under Saddle classes with more than 10 entries:  Large flat classes may be split for the safety of all riders.

Pre-Registration:  Please do your best to pre-register before each show.  Pre-registration is so important because we need to know how many entries to expect for many reasons.  (i.e. so we'll know how much food to buy for the concession stand, and so we'll know how many entries to expect so we can let our judge know)  Entries received after cut off will be charged a $10 per horse/rider combo late fee.

Release of Liability:  A sign release form must be on file with us in order for numbers to be released.  Click here to print a copy, and please note that a parent MUST sign for a minor participant.  The good news is we will only need a release signed one time this year, so once we have this on file you won't need to sign another until 2011.

Weather:  Should weather be an issue, please check this website as we will announce here if a show has been cancelled or postponed due to weather.  Another good reason to pre-register is I will contact everyone personally who has pre-registered if the show has been cancelled.

Conduct:  Any disrespect to horse show management, judges, officials, or anyone connected to the show in any way will be asked to leave the grounds with no money refunded.  We're here to have fun!!!

Dogs:  Please keep dogs on leashes at all times.

Circuit Awards:  Circuit Awards are given every 5 horse shows.  Beginning in March, you will have no fee for signing up however you must compete in 3 of the 5 shows to be eligible and volunteer at least 4 hours (announcing, gate worker, that sort of thing).  Awards will be given at the last show of each circuit.  (i.e. Circuit I will consist of March, April, both shows in May and June.....Circuit II will consist of June, July, August, September, October & November.)

We always need a good announcer or gate worker.  If you are interested in helping out we will credit you a free class for every 2 hours of work.  Please email Ashley if you can help out! :)  (if you are working towards circuit awards the free class credit will take effect after you have worked your 3 hours)

Coggins:  A current negative coggins test is required.

Non Showing Horses:  Must pay a $15 non showing fee.

Courses:  Courses are set on a 12' stride including pony classes.

Show management reserves the right to make any changes to class list, rules, or anything pertaining to horse show.  USEF rules are applied unless otherwise noted.

Office Fee:  All horse/rider combinations will be charged a $10 office fee.

Show Check In:  Back numbers will not be issued until the release is signed and a check is left with the show office.  If you plan on adding classes, we recommend leaving an open, signed check at the show office.

Rivermont Farm, it's owners, volunteers, employees or anyone associated with Rivermont is not in any way responsible for accident, injury or death to horse or rider.

WARNING

Under Georgia law, an equine or animal activity sponsor or professional is not liable for injury to,
